The gym was the beginning of everything.
I didn’t know what to do at the gym so I started watching videos of recommended workouts.
In a word, I started testing and experimenting how certain physical activity would impact my physical and mental health.
While watching workout videos, I came across a number of videos about nutrition.
This led to the decision of changing my diet.
Up until then, I would eat anything: meat, fish, cheese, etc.
Once again, I applied the elimination method to my diet too.
I read that red meat was not good for you so I started eliminating it from my diet.
I also started eating rice instead of pasta.
Because pasta was a significant part of my diet, I needed to learn some new recipes.
While watching videos on Youtube, I came across The Body Coach, aka Joe Wicks.
He had a number of videos of exercises that you could do at home.
He also had a number of recipe books so I bought one and I start cooking!
I still didn’t know that the simple act of removing red meat from my diet would take me on a journey to becoming vegetarian.
I started with red meat and I realized my body was responding well.
Then I stopped eating meat altogether.
For some time, I would eat fish (mostly salmon). Until I decided to drop fish too and go full vegetarian.
And here I am, 12 years after my dad had a heart attack, eating a vegetarian diet and going to the gym Monday to Friday!
It’s incredible how some changes in your life can completely transform who you are.
Because physical health and nutrition were not the only areas that I started exploring.
Soon I was going to learn about Tony Robbins, Les Brown, etc. and begin my journey into self-development!
